MAC honour blush photos and swatches

Every time I go and look at the blush selection at MAC I am automatically drawn to anything shimmery. I always swatched honor since it is very light catching.
I ended up buying it to see if I could make it work on my cheeks.

The base color is light bronzey beige, leaning on the neutral side. It is loaded with gold shimmer, which does not go unnoticed!
Honour is pretty sheer. When layered the golden shimmer really pops and it loses the beige bronze tones.
Wearing it as a contour/blush:
(please forgive this horrible FOTD, I had 2 hours sleep and felt sick, even more pale than usual!)
It was kind of hard to figure out how to use this. I had hoped I could use it as a highlighter (no way! too dark..) so I opted to use it as a blush. I really liked the neutral bronze look, but not the frosty shimmer. It just seemed a bit much for me because in natural light the shimmer really stood out like a sore thumb.
This would be a great highlighter for deeper skin tones.

Mac recently discontinued this blush color, but it might still be in stock for a while yet. Honor is similar in color and tone to verve-acious beauty powder, which I used to have. That was really shimmery too.
I am getting old I guess, I am not liking much shimmer or glitter lately.

Love this color on you! I don't know what the shimmer looks like in real life, but in the photo it just looks glowy and fresh.
